General Information

PECC Children Chinese Language Program is sponsored by Peace Evangelical Community Church (PECC).  It aims to promote Chinese language literacy and the exchange of cultural diversity within the local community.   The program’s focus is reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin Chinese. 

Three different levels (Level 1 - Beginner, Level II - Intermediate, and Level III – Advanced) are being offered. 

Level 1 (Beginner) - for toddlers and preschoolers.  Interactive approach like story, games, etc. will be used.  Emphasis is on recognizing the sound and saying simple mandarin phrases.

Level II (Intermediate) - for school age students.  Emphasis is on pin-yin.  Will also start students on simple conversation, reading and writing. 

Level III (Advanced) – for school age students with basic Chinese Language skills.  Previous Chinese school or equivalent experience may be required.  Aim to advance students’ conversation, reading and writing skills.

Toddlers and school age children.    

Class Schedule

Every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm., excluding no-class days.

Registration and other Fees

Yearly registration fee: $50.00

Text book(s) and other supplies: $4 to  $12.00 + tax
The textbook can be purchased from the teacher on the first day of the class.  However, students are responsible for their own personal stationery, such as notebook, pencil, and eraser.

The registration fee is 100% refundable if the enrollee withdraws within 2 weeks after program starts each year or enrollment, whichever is later.
